What do I need to run my KI or KI2 using a CompactFlash card?
You will need:
- An original KI or KI2 hard drive (or hard drive image file from MAME)
- A 44-pin IDE to CompactFlash Adapter
- A CompactFlash memory card - Requires at least 256MB for KI, 512MB for KI2 (can use larger if you choose)
- Programmed 'ANY-IDE' U98 boot ROM (ROM binaries are located in their respective KI or KI2 Downloads section)
NOTE: Some laptop IDE cables have a tiny plastic "pin" installed in one or both of the 44-pin female connectors so
that they can not be installed backwards. It may be necessary to remove this pin in order to install the cable onto
the adapter. Use a needle or an X-Acto knife to pry the pin from the end connector.
